What the bay count changes
Bay count changes the set of feasible drive layouts, protection overhead, spare capacity, and expansion paths. It does not make backup unnecessary or guarantee a particular performance level.

Specify bay count, supported layouts, minimum drive capacity, interfaces, expected workload, network tier, power/UPS requirement, and independent backup destination. Compare current user-entered quotes separately.
